The domain name Bouncy-Bubbles.Net was bought from Pinchpenny.org on 4th May 2004.
Pinchpenny.org was closed and the domain was transferred to Netrillium.com which too closed and another domain transfer was made to Axishost.com where it currently is registered at. This website has been proudly hosted at the wonderful and reliable Surpass Hosting.com since the very beginning. I highly recommend Surpasshosting for its affordability, friendly and prompt customer support and great hosting plans.
It took 1 month of fawning and flattery to finally get my dad’s credit card for buying this domain name.
The name bouncy-bubbles.net was chosen because I have a weird obsession with the word Bubbles! I have always had the word as a part of my username/id/nickname at all the places online. The word Bubbles is attractive to me because its so cute and…bubbly! I also loved Bubbles from the Powerpuff girls and so I searched for all kind of domain names possible with the word in it, obviously a lot of the good ones were already taken. After many brainstorming sessions with my online friends, I finally decided on bouncy-bubbles.net. The name sounds cute but it has definitely attracted many spammers over the year due to the word ‘bouncy’ in it! I still love it and would like to keep the domain name forever or for as long as possible.
Initially when the site was launched, I used Cutenews to publish my blog entries which was good and easy. I later changed my blogging tool to b2 which was later developed into the most amazing blogging tool ever made, WordPress. I love wordpress and have been using it for almost three years now.
In the last 2-3 years, I have started putting some non-intrusive (or so I would like to think!) advertisements on the site and I sometimes also publish sponsored reviews in my blog posts that are never biased. I have decided to make little money from my website which helps me to pay for the domain name renewal every year as well as in payment for hosting of the website. Sometimes when I am really lucky, I make enough money to buy a tiny little gift for myself from ebay
